Titular de la Segpres resaltó trabajo unido del Gabinete

El Ministro Secretario General de la Presidencia, José Antonio Viera-Gallo, dijo que el gabinete es un equipo que trabaja armónicamente y que el encuentro del pasado miércoles del Comité Político fue para evaluar el curso de la agenda legislativa: "Fue una reunión completamente normal y de rutina del Gobierno". El titular de la Segpres sostuvo que los Secretarios de Estado "somos esencialmente dialogantes" y ante una consulta enfatizó que "entre nosotros nadie da lecciones a nadie".

Previamente el Ministro –en una exposición ante ejecutivos de empresas asociadas de Acción RSE- definió los desafíos más urgentes del país: resolver el Transantiago, abordar el tema indígena, el de seguridad pública, la energía, el reto tecnológico y la transformación del país en una potencia alimentaria.

El Ministro Viera-Gallo calificó como esperanzador que una mayoría sólida de ciudadanos tenga confianza en que se resolverán las dificultades del nuevo plan de transporte público (57% de los santiaguinos). Agregó que ve carencias en el desarrollo urbano de las grandes ciudades y llamó la atención sobre nuevos condominios y poblaciones en los extramuros de ciudades como Santiago, que se construyen sin coordinación con el desarrollo en transporte público. Además, consideró que Transantiago ha sido un traspié en la colaboración público-privada, que ha traído grandes beneficios al país en materia de infraestructura y servicios.

Viera-Gallo consideró que el tema indígena no ha tenido la prioridad adecuada "y con razón todos los años la ONU reclama a Chile por el tema… Ni siquiera se ha reconocido constitucionalmente a los pueblos indígenas", dijo.

Por otra parte, explicó que el país puede convertirse en una Potencia Alimenticia y para ello es necesario tecnologizar la pequeña y la mediana agricultura. Consideró como clave, además, definir las estrategias en materia de generación energética para el futuro y, por último, sostuvo que el país debe actualizar la institucionalidad para enfrentar la inmigración de los países vecinos.
